ATI has a current need for a full-time Environmental/Records Specialist supporting a federal agency in environmental records (i.e., document) management. The position requires a minimum of a BA or BS in a science-related field such as geology, environmental
science, engineering, etc. The position does not require previous records management experience, but 1 to 4 years of experience in records management or similar type work is highly desirable. United States citizenship and the ability to pass a federal government
background check required due to Government contract requirements.
The nature of the work requires proficiency using MS Office (including MS Word and Excel) working knowledge of databases such as Access. The position will require travel to St. Louis approximately 1 week every 3 months and some overnight travel to New York
City; Edison, NJ; and the Boston area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting records management contracts. The tasks involved include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing, categorizing, and uploading documents (including metadata) into a federal government database, part of which is visible to the public.
Record coding and organization.
Quality control reviews.
Coordination and preparation of documents for scanning.
Merging and bookmarking PDF images.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated report writing experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical reports and documents.
Ability to effectively respond to questions from clients, managers, vendors and employees using tact, courtesy and cooperativeness.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure including ability to compute costs, purchase orders, and check vendor invoices.
Some mathematic problem solving, reasoning and interpretation skills.
Strong analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the desire/ability to quickly
learn new tasks.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to deal with a few abstract and concrete variables, exercising judgment, resourcefulness, ingenuity, and initiative.
Ability to exercise discretion while managing confidential information.
