ATI has a current need for a full-time Certified Industrial Hygienist. The position requires a minimum of a BA or BS in a science-related field and current Certified Industrial Hygienist registration with the American Board of Industrial Hygiene. This
is a mid level position requiring a minimum 5-10 years of directly related experience. United States citizenship is required due to Government contract requirements. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required. Certified Safety Professional
registration is preferred. The position is located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Design, manage, and conduct industrial hygiene field studies related to worker exposures, including, but not limited to, air and noise sampling, area noise, safety, illumination, ventilation surveys, hazmat, IAQ, ergonomic and other studies.
Operate and maintain instruments including sampling pumps, calibrators, noise dosimeters, sound level meters, IAQ meters, and direct reading gas meters.
Conduct technical research.
Develop sampling strategies for industrial hygiene projects.
Develop and complete workplace exposure assessment plans.
Provide IH and safety training to staff and others.
Conduct safety inspections and provide safety services.
Assist with environmental health & safety audits at client site.
Collect notes on activities performed by workers being monitored and/or maintain daily log of activities related to project work.
Complete data sheets, chain of custody forms, and prepare samples for shipment to laboratory.
Create data tables and drawings for reports.
Prepare reports which include analysis of industrial hygiene data, regulatory requirements, and recommendations. Reports must be technically accurate, grammatically correct, and appropriate for intended audience.
Peer review reports for grammatical and technical accuracy.
Submit administrative paperwork including invoices, cost proposals, timesheets, expense reports, field reports, etc. on timely basis.
Interface with clients to plan and complete field work.
Provide expert consultation to clients as it relates to OSHA compliance, industry consensus standards, and best practices.
Maintain and build existing client relationships.
Participate in marketing activities directed at identifying new clients, including trade show participation and proposal development.
Make presentations on industrial hygiene issues.
Contribute to a learning environment by identifying staff training needs, developing individual development plans, and participating in self-development.
Demonstrate consistent leadership by inspiring others to work toward the goals of the company.

Competency with MS Office including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access. Good knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and/or similar PDF editing software.
Familiarity with IH and related sampling equipment and experience with sampling and data logging software.
Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
5-10 years of directly related experience.
The position requires a minimum of a BS/BA degree in a science-related field such as chemistry, environmental science, engineering, etc.
Current registration as a Certified Industrial Hygienist with the American Board of Industrial Hygiene
