Description/Job Summary

ATI has a current need for a Skilled Laborer with painting, carpentry, and/or plumbing experience supporting our client at Fort Bragg, NC. United States citizenship is required due to Government contract requirements. SECRET clearance or an acceptable background history with the ability to acquire a clearance is required. The position is located in Ft. Bragg, NC. 

This position is subject to the Service Contract Act (SCA) regulations. The SCA pay scale for this position is between $11.81 and $15.94/hour depending on whether the employee chooses to participate in the company health and dental insurance program.  All employees are also eligible for paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, and a 401(k) plan with employer match.  Work hours are normally between the hours of 0730 - 1630 Monday through Friday totaling approximately 30 to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Painting interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter’s hand and power tools.
  • Maintaining and repairing all plumbing and pipefitting systems.

  • None

Required Skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general plans and instructions.  
  • Ability to effectively respond to questions from customers, managers, and employees using tact, courtesy and cooperativeness.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure including ability to compute measurements.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to exercise judgment, resourcefulness, ingenuity, and initiative.
  • Ability to exercise discretion while managing confidential information.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience

Preferred Experience

  • Experience at a Government facility is a plus but not required

Required Education

  • High School diploma.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand or walk. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employee will need to utilize ladders and/or scaffolding to access work areas. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and depth perception. WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will normally be in a climate-controlled facility but occasional outdoor activities may be required.
